Science Weekly inspires students to investigate and use scientific thinking. In 6th grade there are 10 chapters that cover, numerical expressions and factors, fractions and decimals, algebraic expressions and properties, areas of polygons, ratios and rates, integers and the coordinate plane, equations and inequalities, angle relationships, transformations, and probability and statistics The program provides young people with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed academically in credit-bearing, college entry courses and in workforce training programs. Embedded Mathematical Actions and processes in grade-level content promote a greater understanding of how mathematical concepts are connected to each other and to real-life, turning mathematical learning into an engaging and meaningful way to explore the real world. The Big Ideas program balances conceptual understanding with procedural fluency. Wordly Wise Vocabulary provides direct academic vocabulary instruction to develop the critical link between vocabulary and reading comprehension. Students will learn and incorporate appropriate grammar, usage, and mechanics skills that will help them communicate through writing. Daily journal assignments will help get students writing and generating ideas to be used in their writing assignments. Students will also engage in the writing process which includes prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. Within those modes students will learn and practice different forms of writing.

Writing and Grammar -6th focuses on three modes of writing: Narrative, Informational, and Argumentative.
